AUDITION INFO

Auditions for the 2017 season will be held in NYC in January. Auditions are by appointment only.

We are now accepting headshot, resume, and video submissions in consideration for an in-person appointment for the January auditions. Submissions are due by December 9, 2016.

See below for video guidelines.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Please submit your headshot, resume, and video (see below for guidelines) online via submittable.com. Follow all directions on our Submittable page.

We will begin contacting actors for in-person audition appointments in late November and early December. Audition appointments are offered in one-hour blocks and must be confirmed in advance. The auditions are held in groups of 6-8 actors. Actors will be asked to participate in a movement-based exercise, to present a prepared piece, and to read sides from the season. These are intended to be cold readings, but a complete selection of sides will be posted on the website in advance for your perusal.*

Due to a high volume of submissions, we are unable to schedule in-person auditions for every actor. We will review your initial video submission for consideration (see below for guidelines). Between January 1 and January 15, 2017, you may submit an additional video with sides of your choice from the season. These supplemental videos may total no more than 5 minutes in length, and may be submitted to the Casting Director at casting@adkshakes.org.

*If you require additional time to prepare specific sides due to learning differences or other need, please contact the Casting Director at casting@adkshakes.org and your request will be considered.
