Join the actors of the Adirondack Shakespeare Company for a socially distant walking performance on the splendid grounds of the Sembrich.
This year’s offering takes its cue from Much Ado About Nothing. Benedick and Beatrice “never meet but there’s a skirmish of wit between them.” Follow the travails and antics of a broad range of the Bard’s characters through a series of skirmishes—some verbal, others physical. Featuring snippets from Twelfth Night, The Taming of the Shrew, and King Lear woven into the tapestry of Much Ado.
Specially curated for the Sembrich landscapes and waterscapes, Merry Wars is performed progressively in different locales on the property with seating prearranged in each location.
Run time: approximately 45 minutes and is recommended for audience members who are comfortable navigating outdoor paths.
Proudly sponsored by the Lake George Land Conservancy.
Purchase tickets through The Sembrich website.
Rain Date: Thursday, August 4, 2:00 PM & 3:00 PM
If needed, we will announce the use of this rain date by 6:00 PM on the day prior to the performance.
